The US has approximately 95,000 miles of coastline. The coastal zone provides resources for human and natural populations, unique ecosystems, and a range of economic activities. Currently, more than half the US human population lives in coastal communities. The carrying capacity of the coastal zone, effects from human impacts, alternations of food webs, and the mitigation of natural and anthropogenic hazards are of vital importance to the nation.
Satellite images from high resolution satellite sensors and moderate resolution sensors can provide researchers and scientists with data for assessment and analysis water temperature, salinity, phytoplankton, hydrology, shoreline changes, bathymetry, soil moisture and potential threats to our coasts. Assessments and predictive capabilities through satellite imagery from satellite sensors incorporated with GIS mapping are needed to predict onset of events that may significantly affect human health, critical wetlands and ecosystems, and economic development.
Satellite Imaging Corporation provides a large amount of satellite remote sensing data at different spatial, spectral, and temporal resolutions by using the appropriate combination of bands to bring out the geographical and manmade features that are most pertinent to your project for detecting changes. Satellite Image data is expected to contribute to a wide array of global change-related application areas for vegetation, ecosystem dynamics and hazard monitoring and the generation of orthorectified digital elevation models (DEMs) and can be used in various coastal and marine applications.

Our Staff use programs such as ArcGIS and ArcGIS 3D Analyst to achieve a multi-layered Geographic Information Systems (GIS) product, which is widely applicable to Coastal Management and Monitoring.
Satellite Imaging Corporation utilizes and provides advanced Remote Sensing techniques, Color and Panchromatic image data processing services including orthorectification and feature extraction, pan sharpening with image data fusion, image enhancements, Georeferencing, mosaicing and color/grayscale balancing for GIS and other mapping applications to create single, data-rich images.
Many coastal managers are changing the way they manage coastal problems. Instead of only undertaking corrective measures, officials are moving toward prevention. Using potential models with remote sensing and land cover data through GIS, managers can create scenarios for future development, as well as permitting and land use scenarios, to estimate the impacts on sensitive water bodies.
